City of Plainwell Requests Your Feedback

The City of Plainwell invites you to give us your feedback about a proposed development on the former Plainwell Papermill Property at the upcoming Plainwell City Council Meeting on Monday, January 26, 2026 at 7:00PM at City Hall.
 
At this meeting, the Council will: 
∙             Consider selling ~1 acre of Mill Property to Plainwell Auto
∙             Review Plainwell Auto's plan for new building
∙             Other regular business

What is being proposed?

Plainwell Auto wants to buy approximately 1 acre of land from the City of Plainwell to build a new store, which they will then move their existing business into. The property, currently owned by City, has been cleaned up to commercial standards, allowing for commercial development. As of now, no decision has been made, as we would like to hear from the community first to help guide the Council's decision on whether or not to sell the land for this project.
